Samsung planning to launch its next flagship device Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Congress in January 2017. Reports we received suggests that Samsung will get rid of the 3.5 mm jack from Galaxy S8 and add stereo speakers from Harman.

It has been reported by Sammobile that Samsung has decided to kick out the 3.5mm audio jack from its upcoming flagship Android device Galaxy S8, which is expected to launch in 2017.  Galaxy S8 will join the likes of other audio jack-phobic devices like Apple iPhone 7 and Motorola Moto Z even though Apple was highly criticized for showing enough courage to remove the headphone jack.

Apart from the audio jack removal, Galaxy S8 will also feature a Type-C USB port which is the future of the ports. So, a 3.5mm-to-Type-C adapter would be the only way to pump audio through your existing wired headphones, unless you’re willing to sacrifice them for a new pair.

Samsung flaunts Harman speakers

The report further claims that Samsung will flaunt stereo speakers in Galaxy S8, made by Harman which Samsung is planning to buy for $8 billion. The smartphone is expected to arrive in two variants of differing screen sizes, 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch.
