Juxt Pro

TITAN Juxt Pro is the elder sibling of the Juxt that was launched at ₹ 15,995 in January in partnership with HP.  This August they have come up with more advanced version of Juxt named Juxt Pro with full touch LCD display and can be called as a smartwatch unlike its predecessor. This can be considered as India’s first smartwatch. With TITAN’s brand name the watch will make ripples in the market. We present you with our our hands on review of this product.

Sturdy and stylish looks

The Titan Juxt Pro looks sturdy and something which can go through some rough use as well. It has all metal body Silver Grey and Black color variants while retaining the premium stainless steel build. This watch sports 1.3 inch (360×360 pixels) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 278ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.  The body has flat side buttons instead of rotary crowns. Size may look a bit huge for average wrists and TITAN has given option of only one size. Juxt Pro’s metal case is 15.2mm thick which is water resistant of 30m (3 ATM). Behind the case you can find 4 POGO pins for charging purposes.  The glass is full touch screen display which gives you ample space for swiping and touching even for people with fat fingers.

Titan Juxt Pro flaunts a good hardware of 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM,  4GB built in storage, 450mAH battery which the manufacturers claim to give you 48 hours for a single charge with display auto off feature enabled and 12 hours with display enabled for full time.  It took 1.5 hours for the watch to charge from 0% to 100%.

Juxt Pro is compatible with Android phones above version 4.4 and iOS 8 version and above.  The watch Operating system has all the features but not as detailed as Android wear. The Apps included with the watch includes Unit Converter, Notification hub, Stopwatch, Timer, Alarm, Safety, Fitness, Music, Calendar, Weather, Settings, Phone Finder, and Camera.  Juxt Pro app can be downloaded to setup and pair the watch with the phone and without the app the features of the watch are unusable.

The Juxt Pro smartwatch sports 20 different faces (dials) including custom dial which can be selected by long press and swiping horizontally. Swiping from the top gives you access to toggle notification alerts, Sleep Mode & Flight mode and will also display Sync toggle and remaining battery percentage.  Camera is just a shutter which can capture images on your phone. From the dial you can play music, view images, brightness adjustment, restart, reset, switch off, access pedometer and the navigation to all these was easy.  Other features are SOS which can be activated by long pressing a button which initiates a call and share location to previously configured set of emergency contacts. This is an important feature which makes it easy to help your dear ones to track your location. This can be only enabled by installing the Titan safety app on your mobile and this smart watch has Find my phone feature and Converter for quick conversions across units.

This device is launched at a price tag of ₹ 22995/- in Indian market. Visit Juxt Pro Official Website

Durable and great build quality makes this device suitable for Indian users. The price is a little on the higher side and users will rather go for a good mobile phone instead of a smartwatch for this price. However there will be a segment who would require an all in one smart watch which can be used for easy notifications and great looks.  Even though it lacks some features that other devices of the same category offer, it’s a bold try by an Indian company.  With TITAN’s brand name on it we can expect a good post sales service with their vast sales network.
